“Stone Ridge is one of the better laid-out developments in the Benchlands. It appeals to buyers looking for a development with a low-density feel, and let’s face it, how many people are begging for high-density living!
The single car-port, which is beside the front door of every unit, remains open as the strata council want the look of the development remains in this attractive state. There is plenty of room for visitor parking and whenever I go to Stone Ridge there are only a few cars parked , so it doesn’t look like parking is an issue in this development. With the close walking distance to the village, and the complimentary bus shuttle running through the Benchlands, you arrive at Stone Ridge in your car and you only get in it when you are heading back down highway 99. The development is on the corner of Painted Cliff Road and Spearhead Drive. This gives the impression that there would be heavy traffic, but that is not the case. Both roads are quiet and in general, the whole development is one of the quietest in the Benchlands.
The strata fees are kept to a minimum because there are no cost-causing amenities. For some, it is better to be scraping the snow off your car should it be in the visitor section, than paying an additional $200 a month in strata fees.
No Depreciation Report has been done on this development, as the original developer, who still lives there, says he can see the state of the exterior and the roof by walking around. In addition, owners give the strata feedback when the decks or windows need attention.
Stone Ridge is a favourite of mine and it should be on your list if you are looking for a Benchland’s townhouse.”
